System Troubleshooting
To troubleshoot issues with Appliance units you will need to use the System Troubleshooting option on the Pixellot Connect App.
First, scan the VPU's QR code or enter the VPU part and serial number manually and join the wifi network so that the app can connect to the VPU
Once the app establishes a connection with the VPU it will then run a hardware and network test to ensure everything is working properly and also to determine if there are any issues with the VPU or camera setup
After the hardware and network are scanned, the system information screen will appear that shows the status of the cameras and the network.
Similar to the dashboard tab in VPU Manager the system information will display the status of the VPUs Memory, POE, and GPU. Also, the camera speeds and the camera's IP address will show up as well as the status of the cameras. The app will also display rather the cameras are showing as connected or not which can be used to troubleshoot Camera Connection Issues.
To see any changes to the system, you will need to select the refresh data option at the bottom of the page under Current Network Setup.
Network Status
There will also be a section for the network status that displays the port test, the current IP configuration (DHCP or Static), and if the school's firewall is open and communicating with the Pixellot Cloud. Servers.
If the school wants a static IP assigned to the VPU, you will need to click change near the Current Network Setup to apply the Static IP address. After the static IP address is assigned, send a screenshot of the static IP to the agent that you're working with for our records. After the static IP is assigned to the VPU you will need select Refresh data to see the static IP address.
Once you're done troubleshooting, click finish at the bottom of the system troubleshooting screen
