Establishing a connection to The NFHS Network via OBS.

To download OBS, click here.

Install and run OBS program

Select your input source by clicking the + sign in the sources window and add inputs (audio, video ect.)

Click Video Capture Device and click OK (using video capture as example)

Name your newly created source and make sure the correct "Device" is selected

Once inputs are configured, click settings in the control panel (bottom right corner of OBS)

While in the settings window, click the Stream Tab located on the left side

Under Service select the "Custom..." drop down

Under Server Address copy and paste the following: rtmp://video.nfhsnetwork.com/manual

In order to find your "Stream Key" needed in OBS, you will need to navigate over to the NFHS Network Events Console to find your event & click your Event ID to go to the "Event Detail" page (NOTE: Event ID/Game ID is Console's sorting identifier. Broadcast ID is used for 3rd party RTMP Stream Keys)

Scroll down and click the "Live Streams" video thumbnail to go to the "Broadcast Detail" page

COPY the Broadcast ID (Starting with bdc)

Back in OBS, you can PASTE the Broadcast ID you found in the NFHS Console as your Stream Key

Click Apply & OK to close the settings window
- Click Start Streaming
- Your event is now "On Air" inside the NFHS network for viewers to watch

Go back to your event in NFHS Broadcast Detail Page and click the Production Tab

Hit Play on the Video player and you should see the message "Your event will begin momentarily
Broadcast Settings

To adjust your livestream settings, go to the "Settings" option at the bottom left of your screen.

You will find your Bitrate settings in the "Output" tab

You can change the Resolution you output inside the "Video" tab

This will make you resize your image inside your OBS main canvas if the "Base (Canvas)" and "Output (Scaled)" resolutions don't match.
