- Video camera
- Sony HDR RCX405 (you must purchase an additional mini HDMI to RCA cord, if you plan to use an Elgato)
- Canon VIXIA HF R70 (you must purchase an additional mini HDMI to RCA cord, if you plan to use an Elgato)
- Video Capture Device
- SD Video: Elgato Video Capture Device (RCA/Composite camera output only)
- HD/SD Video: Startech USB3HDCAP USB 3.0 (RCA/Composite/HDMI – laptop must have USB 3.0 ports)
- PC Laptop that meets the following requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 (Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 are not supported by the PlayOn! Producer program)
- Processor: Intel i5 or i7 Processor at 2.4 Ghz or faster
- Memory: minimum 4 GB of RAM
- Hard drive: 160 GB or better at 7200 rpm
*The software runs on a Windows operating system, so a PC is preferred, but can run on a Mac with partitioning software such as BootCamp.

- Behringer makes a line of inexpensive mixers to match your needs.
- Consider future needs when deciding on the mixer that’s right for you.
- (2) Headsets: Audio Technica BPHS 1 – (~$200/each) or Koss SB 40 (~$35/each) - You will need to purchase a 1/8” to XLR adapter
- (2) 50-foot: XLR Audio Cables – (~$25/each)
- (1) 6” Hosa Technology Stereo ¼” Male to Stereo ¼” Female Y-Cable (Splitter) (~$6)
- Used to connect headset earphones for two announcers to audio board
- (1) Hosa Technology ¼” Phone Male to RCA Male Unbalanced Cable (~$7)
- Used to connect audio board output to video capture device
- (2) Comprehensive SPP-PJ Male 1/4" Phone to Female RCA Adapter (~$2)

When you are just starting out, broadcast at your comfort level. Don't try to do too much with your broadcast at first. Progress slowly and take time to master skills. With that said, below are setups for a production with announcers and one without announcers depending on where your comfort level lies.
