Version 8.22 - Download

• Release Notes
  • Added support for 720p60 video ingest.
  • Fixed bug where 60fps video was forced to 30fps, which caused frame jitters
  • Modified the "Confirm Close Broadcast" dialog box verbiage and appearance
  • Removed "Create Local VOD" dialog box when closing Producer. If you need to create a VOD locally, you can follow the directions outlined here.

  • Re-enabling score updates in broadcast manager
  • Changing default network profile from “Probe once at startup” to “Adaptive bitrate: tuned for WiFi”
  • Changed network probe duration from 30 seconds to 10 seconds
  • Adding in a message box to ask the end user if they want to complete an event if Playon Producer exits cleanly. This allows users to close Playon Producer and re-launch if necessary without completing the event.
  • Modified the S3 upload process so that it is capped at 20 Mbps. This prevents CPU usage spikes that caused encoder issues and warnings inside of Playon producer.

  • Adjusted media encoding parameters to reduce CPU usage. In our testing, this led to an average of 10% CPU usage reduction when streaming at 720p while maintaining video quality.

  • A reduction in CPU usage helps with the Playon Producer “fast-forwarding” bug we’ve seen in previous releases.

  • Fixed bug where local recordings were deleted when double-clicking on the .bat file next to the mp4.

  • Added in try-catch with logging to prevent Playon Producer from hard-crashing with a potential out-of-memory error when making new graphics overlays.
