Streaming has moved to PlayOn HQ!
Use HQ to quickly add all of your streaming single events.
Getting Started
To get started, you can click on Create a single event from the Quick Start menu in the PlayOn HQ Dashboard.
Chose Athletic to create scheduled streaming events. Then click Continue to proceed.
From the pop-up, click Streaming to create a broadcasted event without ticketing.
Select Ticketing only if you want to create an event on both GoFan and the NFHS Network. For this, you can reference our complete guide How to Create Ticketing & Streaming Single Events in HQ.
Adding an Event
Start completing your required event details, listed under Streaming Settings on the left.
As you modify these event details, you can see the changes reflected in real-time in the right-hand panel.
Next, enter the Sport, Gender, and Sport Level.
Below Broadcast Settings and Camera Setup, you'll also enter the Opponent for your event.
Streaming Settings
Next, you'll set up your streaming settings for streaming your event to the NFHS Network.
If you selected multiple sport levels above, you can chose to have the same broadcast start time for all teams, or you can select different broadcast start time for all teams.
The same broadcast start time creates a single stream on the NFHS Network. Different start times creates separate streams by team. When selecting different start times, ensure that each broadcast aligns with when each team is actually playing.
You can then enter your broadcast times, select a camera from Camera List, and determine if you'd like to Live stream, Upload VOD (Video On Demand) after game, and if you'd like to set up VOD Blackout dates.
Live stream determines whether or not the livestream will be listed on the NFHS Network.
Upload VOD determines whether or not the VOD will be searchable by fans on the NFHS Network.
VOD Blackout dates refers to a period of time where the VOD is not searchable by fans.
Under Camera Setup, you can see the status of your selected camera, use the Camera List to change your camera selection, and Test Camera to perform a camera check. For complete details and instructions on running a test event, see our guide How to Run a Camera Test.
Under Opponent, search for schools to list as your Home and Financial schools. Be sure to pay attention to the school's logo, city, and state so you can be sure you've selected the correct ones.
Publish Your Event
Once all of your event details are complete, click Publish Event in the bottom right.
