- App requires Venue version 2.58 to operate basic features.
- Venue version 3.7 required as a minimum for S3 installation.
- Current/most up to date version of software always recommended for installation.
0. Downloading the App
Go to Apple's App Store or Google Play on your smartphone device. Search "Pixellot Connect" and download the app.
Installing a New System
Open the Pixellot Connect App and select SYSTEM SETUP
The next page will show that everything is installed and connected or if anything is showing not connected to the VPU or CHU. Click confirm and continue to start the installation process
1. Data Collection
- When entering this information, enter your first and last name for the installer name.
- When entering the VPU name, please include the school’s or location’s name, state, and the venue (like field, gym, etc.)

2. VPU Setup:
Scan the VPU's serial number outlined below. This is located at the back of the VPU or on the box it came in. If the scan fails, you can enter the number manually.
Once you scan the VPU QR Code or enter it manually, the screen should show Video Processing Unit Detected Successfully

3. Camera Setup
Scan the camera head's QR Code, which is located on the bottom of the camera head. You may also manually enter the information requested by selecting Enter Number Manually. This information can be found on the camera head or on the box that the camera was shipped in.

4. VPU Connection
The app should ask you if you want to join the network the VPU is connected to. Click join and wait for the internet connection to be established on the VPU. If the app asks for permission to enable "finding local devices on a network", you must allow it. Otherwise, delete the app entirely and start this process over.

During this process, the system is testing the VPU and Camera to ensure they're ready for configuration

6. Network Configuration
Review the network configuration. If set to DHCP, it should autofill with information.
If the school's IT needs a static IP set, change it to MANUAL and input the network information. If a school does not provide a DNS server, use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
RUN TEST to make sure everything is okay.
Note: If the VPU is unable to establish an internet connection, proceed with using the app as the VPU and Cameras can still be configured without an internet connection. Restart the setup process and select Offline Installation. Remove the VPU's network cable before starting the offline installation process.

7. Internet Configuration
During this process, the app is checking to make sure the VPU is able to establish an internet connection using the school's network settings

8. Camera Type
This section will display the camera type for the camera you're installing based on the camera part number entered or the QR Code that was scanned in Section 3

9. Camera: Mode & Tilt
Set the correct Field Type, Standoff, and Height measurements. Then set FPS to NTSC.
Recommended mode and tilt should match the mode and tilt on the camera. The values provided in the app are recommended values for the mode and tilt but may require adjustments after contacting support for final camera view verification.

10. Camera: Pairing
The app will attempt to establish a connection to the camera.
Once the connection is successful, proceed to NEXT | SHOW PREVIEW.

After pairing the cameras, a preview of the venue should appear next.
Once you confirm the view to be okay,

12. Self Test
After verifying the camera view, the VPU will conduct a test to ensure everything is functioning correctly.

13. Finalize System Installation
Once the installation is completed, select Send Report via Email.
Enter "installsupport@nfhsnetwork.com" as the 'To' email. The return email address should be your own.
14. Add Additional Angle/OCR camera
To add the scoreboard through the Connect App click on Additional Equipment on the home screen.
Choose the type of scoreboard system to add.
Additional Camera is typically used for indoor venue OCR cameras or additional angle (double play) cameras for baseball and softball fields.
Sportzcast setups can be found in either indoor or outdoor venues.
OCR/Additional Angle Setup
Select Additional Camera
Select the connection type that the additional angle/OCR camera is currently utilizing. This will often be Direct connection.
The application will start loading the additional angle or OCR configuration.
Verify the camera's view of either the scoreboard or the double play location. Select Save & Pair once the view is confirmed.
Wait for the pairing process to complete.
Once the pairing process is complete, the additional angle/OCR camera is now setup and is ready for operation. Select Finish and Send Report.
SPORTZCAST

Precondition: System Setup
- Please ensure that your system setup is complete before proceeding with the installation of additional equipment. This is a necessary precondition for the successful installation of Sportzcast.

Navigate to Additional Equipment:
- On the main screen, navigate to the 'Additional Equipment' section and select 'SportZCast'.

Select Manufacturer and Score Link Device:
- In the next step, select the Manufacturer and the Score Link device type. Please note that we currently support Score Link device types 1 and 2. After making your selection, click on the 'Save and Continue' button.

USB Installation Type:
- This version supports USB installation type only. Ensure your device is connected via USB for the installation process.

Device Detection and Configuration:
- Once the device is detected and configured, you will be navigated to a system check screen.

System Check:
- On the system check screen, you can verify that Scoreboard packets are being received and identify the detected BOT number.

Score Data Parsing:
- You can also view how to score data is parsed by the system under 'Sport Type', 'Clock', 'Score Home', and 'Score Away'.
Follow the instructions stated and when complete, select FINISH AND SEND REPORT.

15. Adding an Additional Angle
To add the additional angle camera for S2S baseball and softball cameras Double Play System, you will need to click on Additional Equipment on the Pixellot Connect App home screen
Live View Dependency:

- The live view feature depends on internet speed. If the VPU has no internet connection, you won't be able to see the live view from the additional cameras.
- This feature will help you adjust the additional camera view.

Then scan the VPU's QR code and wait for the VPU and Internet Configuration to establish a connection.
Step 4 After the connections are established, Choose the installation type based on your setup. For LAN or USB adaptor, select 'Direct Flow'
Once the camera is configured, select additional angle under Camera type, then save and pair.
After the camera has paired, you should now see the additional angle camera and press continue once you have made all necessary adjustments.
Once the Additional angle camera is centered, all data is collected and can be reported as part of the final report or via email.

16. Pulling Logs for Troubleshooting
To retrieve logs from the Pixellot Connect app Version 3.0.0, follow these steps: Click on the Question mark icon located at the top right corner. A prompt will appear, asking where to send the logs. Send the logs to installsupport@nfhsnetwork.com
- Both the Venue logs and App logs will be sent.
